- Mike McMaster Added 2017-09-15★ ★ ★ ★ ★My wife and I spend time in Cowichan each summer. We always bring back some Alderlea whites. It has been the only BC wine we served in our restaurant. The whites are based in German varietals and are always dry, crisp and loaded with flavour. The small vineyard is always neat and reminds me of small vineyards in Germany and in France. There reds are fine but my love is for the whites. It's just north of Duncan and the short drive through valleys is like a refreshing trip through European countryside.
